Notre Dame, IN – The Premier Development League (PDL) has named Holy Cross goalkeeper Iain McTurk to its Team of the Week for the final week of the PDL regular season. McTurk recorded an important four save shutout for his team, the St. Louis Lions, against the Thunder Bay Chill for a vital victory in the Lions playoff push. The win clinched a spot in the PDL Playoffs, the Lions first trip to the postseason since 2007.

Coach Omar Gallo was ecstatic for his keeper, "I am extremely proud of Iain and everything that he has accomplished in his first calendar year competing in the U.S. He is a talented young goalkeeper who is making a name for himself across the country. Anytime you have one of your players receive an accolade like this it gets you excited for the upcoming season. This is a great achievement. Iain is doing a terrific job of representing Holy Cross College and putting our name out there as a rising power in men's college soccer."

The St. Louis Lions who have two other Holy Cross players on their squad (senior defender Alex Clarke and recent graduate Garbhan Grant), will begin their playoff journey at 5:30 tonight against the Michigan Bucks at Valley Stadium in Pontiac, MI.
