(Goshen, Ind.) After a long Saturday trip to Davenport University the Saints were back in action Tuesday night against the Maple Leafs of Goshen College.
Goshen controlled the game outshooting the Saints 29 - 4, and led in corner kicks 10 - 0. Jessica Heston (Plymouth, Ind.) was terrific in goal facing 29 shots and saving 13 in 90 minutes of action. The Saints offensive woes continued as they were shutout for the fifth straight game.
"Jessica is doing a terrific job in the goal and every game she does better, last night she had 13 saves," said Head Coach Carlos Reynolds. "When I look at this team and consider everything that we are going through, I have nothing but good words for them."
Goshen's Dana Christner netted the first goal of the game in the 30th minute. Brianne Mault and Jennifer Snyder each added a goal in the second half and the Maple Leafs cruised past the Saints 3 - 0.
"Our team did a pretty good job containing Goshen´s offense in the first half," said Coach Reynolds. "Alaina McCraner had another great game and Monica Zehr played very well too, she stopped multiple attacks coming from her side."
Holy Cross drops to 0 - 5 on the year and will be back in action this Saturday, at Taylor University. The Trojans are currently 3 - 2 on the year.
