Rhett Zych Hired To Lead Men's Soccer

(Notre Dame, Ind.) The Holy Cross Athletic Department is pleased to announce that Rhett Zych has been hired to lead the men's soccer program. Zych is a graduate of Adams High School and Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis.
While attending IUPUI, Zych earned his B.A. in political science and was a member of the IUPUI men's soccer program from 2001-2006.
"We are excited to add Coach Zych to our athletic department staff and to the Holy Cross community," said Athletic Director Bob Schermerhorn. "I believe that he and his staff will do a great job of developing our young men and promoting the Holy Cross values."
After graduation, Zych worked in broadcasting with the ICB Radio Station Sportstownchicago.com as well as AM 670 the Score (CBS Affiliate). While working at AM 67O he helped produce the Danny Mac Show and oversaw all podcasting as well as writing for the website.
Coach Zych has worked with various youth programs and most recently was the Head Boys Soccer Coach at Elkhart Memorial High School. Zych was the coach of the Chargers during the 2007-2009 seasons.
"His background in soccer will be a real asset to our athletes," said Schermerhorn. "His familiarity with the Michiana area will also be a great asset as he begins recruiting for the upcoming season."
