(Notre Dame, Ind.) The HCC Hockey team recently welcomed 3 incoming student athletes that have committed to continue their academic and athletic careers at Holy Cross College.
Ryan Gallup (Fishers, Ind.), Austin Pedue (Granger, Ind.) and Ethan Palmer (South Bend, Ind.) will join the Saints this fall.
Pedue was a member of the Penn High School team that won a 2A State Championship and was the recipient if the Mary Morris Attitude Award. Gallup played two years with Park Tudor and was in the top 2 in scoring. Palmer was recently honored with the Jack Lafferty Goalie Award for the area's top goalie in South Bend.
"All 3 will be welcomed additions to the HCC community as well as be valuable members of the 2011-2012 hockey team," said Head Coach Bill Schmatz.
Gallup a 5'9'' wing, Palmer a 5'11'' Goalie, and Pedue a 6'3'' defenseman will all look to contribute to the Saints lineup next fall.
"All 3 come from solid high school hockey programs and each has an impressive list of accomplishments," Coach Schmatz said. "Their collective talents will help add considerable depth as the Saints look forward to another winning season."
Last season the Saints finished with a 21 - 8 record in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA DIII).
