Saints Fall To #10 Michigan-Flint

(Flint, Michigan) The Saints hockey team faced a tough test from the 10th ranked University of Michigan-Flint this weekend at the Flintland Ice Arena.
The Saints faced a physical Michigan team in a two-game set this past weekend.
The Victors held the Saints to just one goal over the weekend in the two-game series. Sean Root (Livonia, Michigan) scored the only marker in Friday's 5-1 loss to UMF. The goal was assisted by Brandon Norcutt (Yorba Linda, California).
Sophomore Brad Hajec (Dearborn, Michigan) stopped 30 shots in the loss.
On Saturday, the Saints again could not find the back of the net, and fell 5-0. Freshman Ethan Palmer (Granger, Indiana) got the start on the blue ice for the Saints, stopping 45 shots in the contest. Palmer's save percentage on the year is 0.900.
The Saints record drops to 6-4-1. The Saints received votes in the first release of the rating polls this weekend.
Holy Cross will be preparing for Adrian College's visit to the Ice Box this weekend for a critical two-game series against the 11th ranked Bulldogs. The Saints fell to Adrian in a shoot-out 4-3 on October 9th.
