(Notre Dame, IN) The Holy Cross Men's Golf Team competed in the Indiana Wesleyan Wildcat Invitational over the weekend.
The Saints battled hard throughout a tough field to finish third overall out of nine teams in the invitational. They were in second place after the first round with a score of 312 overall. They shot a 315 on day two for a two day total of 627. They finished fourteen strokes off the winner Taylor University.
The Saints had three players finish in the top twenty five as individuals over the weekend. Sophomore Matthew Code (Ontario, Canada) led the Saints with an eighth place finish posting a total score of 154. Junior Mike Prior (Schoolcraft, Michigan) finished in tenth place and just one stroke off Code with a score of 155, and senior Eric Harstein (South Bend, IN) ended up twenty third place with a total score of 160 over the two days.
Holy Cross is currently receiving votes for the national rankings in the NAIA. They play in the NAIA Classic down in Indianapolis on April 8th. 9th, and 10th at the Brickyard Golf Course.
