(Notre Dame, IN) Brooklyn Hodges has decided to continue her academic and athletic career at Holy Cross College. Hodges is the first recruit to sign with new head coach Carlos Reynolds. Reynolds was most recently with Marion High School in Mishawaka, IN.
Fall 2009 season will mark the inaugural season for the Saints as a varsity program. Hodges will play defense for the Saints as they compete in the Association of Independent Institutions (AII) next season.
"As soon as I saw Brooklyn I knew she would be a good fit for our defense," said Head Coach Carlos Reynolds. "She has a good soccer mind and understands the game. Brooklyn also impressed me with how well organized she was on and off the field."
While at Northridge High School Hodges won the mental attitude award, carrying a high GPA during season award, and a best defender award. She also made high honor role all throughout her high school career.
"I wanted to play soccer at Holy Cross, because helping build a program reminded me a lot of my time at Northridge," said Hodges. "The best team builds together, and at Holy Cross that is exactly what we will be able to do."
