INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Holy Cross women's golf team continued their spring season earlier this week in the Marian (Ind.) Spring Classic. After sitting in fourth place at the conclusion of day one with a team score of 383, the Saints closed out the tournament with a team score of 369 round two to finish in third place with a score of 752.
Sarah Hartle (SO/Warsaw, Ind.) led the way for the Saints in both rounds during their second tournament of the spring season after completing a 36-hole score of 175. Hartle completed round one with a score of 88 before closing out the event with a team-low of 87 and a ninth place individual finish.
Kylie Day (FR/Zionsville, Ind.) added a 93 in the opening round of the event before closing out with a low round of 90 on day two to finish with a 36-hole score of 183.
Emily Duff (SO/Rochester, Ind.) and Katie Krohn (FR/Noblesville, Ind.) each added tournament scores of 197. Duff began the tournament with a 102 in round one but closed out round two with a score of 97. Krohn opened up with a 100 in round one and then finished with a 97 on the final day.
Rounding out the Saints, Kendra Luckey (SO/Danville, Ind.) scored a 106 on the first 18 before ending the tournament with a 102 and a 36-hole total of 208.
All five Saints who participated in the event lowered their round one scores.
Fellow Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) member Olivet Nazarene took home the first place finish after a team score of 691.
Kelsey Sear of Ball State University finished with the lowest individual score of 155 (80, 75).
The Saints will return to action beginning on Friday, April 11 with round one of the Bethel Invitational at Blackthorn GC in South Bend, Ind.
