          (Sturgis, MI) The Holy Cross men's golf team opened up the 2009-10 season with a second place finish in the New Balance Invitational.
      
         Junior Tyler Alge (Huron, OH) led the Saints with a total score of 153 placing him in a tie for third place individually. Alge shot an opening round 77, and a second round 76. Tyler Kanczuzewski (South Bend, IN) and Kevin Patterson (Stevensville, MI) each shot a 161 for the event placing them in a tie for sixth place overall. Kancsusewski shot a second round 74 tying him with two others for the best single round score. 
 
         Host Glenn Oaks won the overall event with a team score of 619. The Saints finished with a team score of 635. The Saints will be back in action this weekend at the Robert Morris College Fall Invitational.
