Warsaw, IN – Holy Cross Women's Basketball signed point guard Eryn Leek from Warsaw High School last Friday. Leek was a four year starter for the Warsaw Lady Tigers program and finished her time with a 61-27 overall record, including a 24-2 season her junior year where Leek won Class 4A Sectional and Regional titles.

In addition to leading her team to championships, Leek was also honored with multiple awards to recognize her individual accomplishments. Leek earned Northern Lakes Conference Honorable Mention and IBCA All-State Academic Honorable Mention as well. Leek put together an impressive 10.72 (out of 12) GPA through her four years at Warsaw High School.

Leek will be an important piece of Coach Aimee Niespodziany's 2014 recruiting class, which is now at a total of five girls. After losing senior point guard, Jillian DeLucia, who averaged 7 points and 4 assists per game last season; the point guard position will need a fresh face to lead the Saints to success in this upcoming season. "Eryn is a dynamic point guard who has great court vision and an uncanny ability to find her teammates in the flow of a game. We are very excited to be having her join the Saints program for the next four years," said Coach Niespodziany about the freshman point guard.

Leek intends to double major in psychology and pre-professional science when she enrolls this fall.
