(South Bend, IN) The Saints took a one game break from their conference schedule to host Indiana Tech at the Indiana Invaders Complex Thursday afternoon.

Tech consistently pressured the Saints defense producing 36 total shots on the game. Despite the pressure the Saints held strong and Ashleigh Lemp continued her great year in goal. The Warriors were able to break through in the 20th minute when Stephanie Wilson beat the Saints defense and netted the first goal of the game.

The Saints came firing back and were inches away from tying the game when Valerie Patout hit the crossbar of the Tech goal. However, minutes later Alex Saba of Tech headed a ball in the 37th minute to give the Warriors a 2-0 lead at half. Tracie Ball recorded the assist on the play.

Tech put the game away late in the second half with three goals within 15 minutes of each other. Lindsey Swaim put the Saints on the board in the 89th minute off a free kick just outside of the 18 yard box. Lemp ended the evening with 11 saves on 16 shots.

The Saints resume their conference schedule this Saturday at Judson University. Game time is set for 1:00pm.
