(South Bend, IN) Outshot 26-3, the Saints were unable to stop their 3-game skid in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) play.
Despite being held shot less in the first half the Saints kept the game close by possessing the ball and creating scoring opportunities. Holy Cross was outshot 15-0 and trailed in corner kicks 4-3 in the half. The half ended in a 0-0 tie.
Robert Morris was able to break through in the second half with a goal in the 65th minute. Eric Herrera blasted a shot from inside the 18 yard box on a pass from Aziz Nignan. The Eagles broke the game open in the 85th minute with a goal by Arso Mitreski. Eric Herrera recorded the assist on the play. Bart Dyczkowski put the game away 2 minutes later beating the Saints defense to give the Eagles a 3-0 lead. Saints goalkeeper Damian Marciniak had 6 saves on the night in 90 minutes of action.
The loss drops the Saints record to 2-13-1 on the year and 1-7 in the CCAC. The Saints host Cardinal Stritch this Saturday at the Indiana Invaders Complex. Game time is slated for 4:00pm and is the last home game of the year.
