Elgin, Ill. - Holy Cross entered the CCAC Tournament as the 3-seed and was looking to start their postseason run strong against the sixth seeded Eagles of Robert Morris. The Saints played a tough game and were rewarded with a Tommy Goodale solo shot in the bottom of the ninth for a walkoff 3-2 win into the second round. The win marks the Saints 30th of the season.

Corleone Desimone then stepped up and smacked a double to right centerfield to score Clancy and take a 2-0 lead.
The Eagles answered in the top of th sixth when Sebastian singled to score Conway and Zakroczemski was able to round homeplate on a throwing error by the Saints tying the score at two runs each.
It wasn't till the bottom of the ninth that Goodale stepped up as the first batter of the inning and rocketed a shot to right field that advanced the Saints to the second round without a blemish.
