(Zeeland, MI) Andrew Dewitt of Zeeland, MI has signed a letter of intent to play soccer at Holy Cross College beginning in the fall of 2010. Dewitt is the first player to sign with the Saints for the 2010 season.

Andrew was a three year varsity starter for Zeeland East High School. Dewitt recorded 36 goals during his three year run. He helped his team advance to the District Finals after beating rival Zeeland West his junior year. In his senior year Andrew tallied 24 goals and was named to the All-Conference, All-District, and All-Area teams.

"Andrew will come in as a freshman and have the opportunity to make an immediate impact," said Head Coach Dustan Harley. "We had trouble scoring this year and to add a young man who scored 24 goals his senior season is a big help."

Andrew is the son of Tim and Amy Dewitt, and plans on majoring in education at Holy Cross. Dewitt will bring a spark to the Saints offense that struggled to put goals up this past year.

"Andrew is a great fit for this team and the program," said Coach Harley. "The current players have spent time with him and have enjoyed every minute of it. Andrew comes from a great family who will also fit in well at HCC. I couldn't think of a better way to start off the 2010 freshmen class."
