Silvis, Ill. - The Saints women's golf team opened up their spring 2016 schedule traveling to Silvis, Illinois for the TPC Deere Run Women's Intercollegiate Invitational hosted by William Penn University.
The Saints finished 13th out of 15 teams, narrowly missing 12th place by one stroke. Kylie Day lead the way by shooting a total score of 183 (+39). Day shot a team-low 87 during round two to help her finish in 40th place. Haley Vandenberg was one stroke off Day, finishing at +40 after lowering her second round score by two strokes to shoot 91 earlier Tuesday afternoon. Vandenberg finished in 43rd place after the all scores from the two day event were recorded.
Lauren Luckey shot a two round total of 211 (+67), finishing 72nd, while sister Kendra Luckey was one stroke behind shooting a 212 (+68) to finish in 73rd. Rounding out the Saints lineup was Emily Duff. Duff shot a 213 (+69), only trailing both Luckey sisters by two strokes.
The Saints look to bounce back in Augusta, Michigan on April 2 and 3 at the Shootout at Stonehedge North.
