South Bend, Ind. - The Holy Cross women's golf team competed in the Bethel Invitational this weekend and took 9th place. The Saints shot a 358 on Friday, followed by a 357 today, for 715 total at Blackthorn Golf Club.
Haley Vandenberg and Sarah Hartle lead the way for the Saints finishing at +31, each finishing tied for 30th place. Vandenberg carded an 85 on the first day followed by a 90 on day two. Hartle shot an 87 for round one, followed by an 88 for round two.
Emily Duff shot a 95, but was able to improve by 8 strokes during her final round to shoot a 182 overall, finishing in 39th place. Kasey Schaffer was finished only one stroke behind Duff, after posting rounds of 91 and 92, respectively. Schaffer finished in 40th place for the Saints. Senior Kendra Luckey rounded out the Saints lineup finishing in 47th place after posting rounds of 98 and 97.
The Holy Cross women's golf team competes in the CCAC Conference Championship at Flossmoor Country Club in Flossmoor, Illinois beginning on April 28th.
