On Saturday the Saints scored first, but Xavier took the lead and refused to give it up. Mitch MacLeod started the scoring off for the Saints. However, Xavier scored three unanswered goals to take the lead.
The Saints came back in the third period with two quick goals by Jamie O'Conner and Shane Leo to tie the game. But two minutes after the Saints tied the game Joe Bauer scored for the Musketeers and Xavier regained the lead. The Saints fired back with two goals twenty seconds apart. The goals were scored by Ty Robbins and Jamie O'Conner. They were assisted by Brad Gendel (2), Tyler Schmatz, and Richie Rectenwal.
