Kohler, Wisc. - The Holy Cross women's golf team traveled to Kohler, Wisconsin to compete in their final event of the fall. The Saints improved by 20 strokes on the final day to finish the two day tournament in 8th place out of 10 teams. The Saints carded rounds of 384 and 364 to finish at +172. National power Keiser University won the even shooting 608 total (+32) winning the tournament by over 50 strokes.
Freshman Natalia Campbell improved by nine shots during the second round of play to grab another top ten finish (+23). Campbell posted rounds of 88 and 79 at Whistling Straights. The freshman has already made her mark in the Saints record book and continues to make a living in the top ten of each tournament she competes in.
Maisie Nugent was able to improve by eight strokes during her final round to finish in 34th place. Nugent carded rounds of 100 and 92 for a 192 two day total (+48). Just behind Nugent, senior Kylie Day finished tied for 35th after rounds of 97 and 96 for a 193 total score.
The Saints had four freshman in each five woman lineup this fall and will look to carry the confidence gained this fall into conference play in the spring.
