Indianapolis, Ind. - The Holy Cross men's golf team struggled against a loaded field at the Wildcat Cup in Indianapolis, Indiana hosted at Brickyard Crossing. The Saints finished in 12th place in a field that boasted multiple nationally ranked opponents including champion #15 Taylor University.
Brendon Shibley, had his best showing of the spring season, as he paced the Saints with a 7th place finish. Shibley carded matching rounds of 74 to finish at +4 for the tournament, which was only three strokes behind second place. Alex Meagher fired in rounds of 79 and 82 to finish +17 for the tournament tied for 57th place.
Joey Medora and Matt Sheldon had identical first and second rounds for the Saints. Both golfers carded rounds of 83 in the first round and 80 in the second to finish tied for 65th. Zach Drury rounded out the Saints lineup with scores of 86 and 92 (+34), respectively.
The Saints return home for the Battle at Blackthorn in South Bend on Friday and Saturday.
