Notre Dame, Ind. - The Holy Cross Men's Basketball Team and Head Coach Mike McBride will host their annual Elite Camp on August 5th. The camp is in its fifth year and will run from August 5th to August 6th. This camp along with the Saints Prospect Camp gathers over 100 athletes each year onto the Holy Cross College campus to display their talents and learn more about the basketball program and college as a whole.
The camp will consist of intense, individualized instruction led by the Saints staff and players as well as organized competitions. Participants will engage in film sessions and learn more about the college recruiting process. Each athlete will have their game broken down by the staff and learn how to improve on the skills they already possess. Members of Holy Cross admissions staff will take athletes around on tours and give a presentation on the the college.
Over the past five years, multiple athletes from the Elite Camp have gone on to become members of the Holy Cross Men's Basketball Team. Rising sophomore Robby Jimenez was invited to the event two years ago and committed to the Saints following the camp. "This camp allowed me to really show my talents to the coaching staff and meet the players," Jimenez stated on his experience at Elite Camp. "It was great to be able to see what workouts would be like in college and learn what it would take to become a successful college basketball player."
