Homewood, IL. Women's golf finished third place out of six teams in the two-day CCAC Cup tournament at Ravisloe Country Club. Participating teams included St. Francis, St. Xavier, Judson University, Trinity Christian University, and IUSB.
The Saints were led by individual medalist, Natalia Campbell who shot a 151 for the tournament. Campbell scored a 76 yesterday, which had her sitting in second place. She then followed that up with todays score of a 75 which propelled her into first place. All five golfers shot it well, while Macenzie Lance scored 171, and Kasey Schaffer shot a 187 for the two-day event. Abby Clark shot a 187, and Maisie Nugent scored a 199.
"This was a good tournament experience for us," said coach Mannen. "I was pleased with our performance today. We have some talented golfers, which help us compete for the top of the CCAC."
The Saints will be back in action Monday September 11 as they travel to Wisconsin to compete in the Brown Deer Park tournament.
