     The Holy Cross Saints traveled to Bloomington to take on the Indiana Hoosiers. After a rough loss on Friday, the Saints bounced back on Saturday to split the series.
   

     On Friday night the Hoosiers jumped out to a 1-0 lead after Robert MacKing tallied his first of three goals on the night at the 6:30 mark. Ryan Prust added two goals for the Hoosiers. Sophomore defensemen Brad Gendel netted the lone goal for the Saints. He was assisted by Dan Merkle and Jamie O'Conner.

     The Saints bounced back on Saturday with a 4-0 shutout win. Levi Burkins started the scoring for the Saints at the 17:28 mark in the first period. He was assisted by Steve Bridgeman, who recorded the first point of his college career. Holy Cross added two more goals in the second period. The first goal was scored by Jamie O'Conner at 15:15. The goal was assisted by Levi Burkins and Mitch MacLeod.The second goal was scored by Tyler Schmatz. Mitch MacLeod recorded his second assist on the night. With 12:34 remaining in the third Sean Root scored to all but seal the victory for the Saints. He was assisted by Levi Burkins and Tyler Schmatz.
     The shutout recorded by the Andrew Ebright is the first of the season for the Saints and the first in program history.
 
     The Saints return home this weekend to host the inaugural Holy Cross Tournament. The Saints will play IPFW Friday at 6:30 pm, Robert Morris Saturday at 10:45 am, and Butler on Saturday at 6:30 pm. Depending on the results they could play at noon on Sunday.
