(Notre Dame, IN) Hosting #16 Olivet Nazarene University (NAIA DI), the men's basketball team would be without sophomore guards J.T. Breveard and Zac Cook in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon in the Pfeil Center.
The Saints played the Tigers close for 20 minutes, but Olivet took over in the second half going on a 14 - 0 run to extend their 13 point halftime lead to 27. Junior Adam Dobrzykowki (South Bend, IN) made his first start of the year recording 10 points and 4 rebounds. Walk-on Pierre Jackson (South Bend, IN) played significant minutes leading the Saints with 11 points on the day. However, Holy Cross only shot 34.5% from the field, including 2-11 from 3 - point range.
Olivet shot nearly 50% from the field on the day including 13 - 27 from 3 - point range. Josh Bronke led the Tigers with 21 points nailing 6 three-pointers.
Holy Cross falls to 3 - 20 on the year and 0 - 7 in conference. The Tigers improve to 15 - 6 overall and stay undefeated in the conference. The Saints will be back in action Monday, February 1st, at border rival Andrews University.
