The women's soccer team was in action Thursday evening against the Jackson Community College Jets.
The Saints were able to take an early 1-0 lead against the Jets in the 29th minute as Megan Ohms put one past goalkeeper Chloe Peek. The lead was short lived after Jackson midfielder Hannah Hall scored for the Jets in the 39th minute. The half ended with a 1-1 tie.
Early in the second half Saints forward Attea Guida was forced out with an injury limiting the bench players to just one. The Jets were able to take advantage of this situation and score six goals in the second half. Jets striker Sami Maskell had three goals in the second half in route to a 7-1 victory over the Saints.
The Saints will travel to Taylor University on September 17th. This will be the first time these two teams meet.
*The September 13th and 20th games have been cancelled against Grace Bible College.
