(Notre Dame, IN) The Saints welcomed NAIA DII #10 Cardinal Stritch University to the McKenna Arena Saturday afternoon for a non-conference match-up.

Trailing by 5 with 7:40 left in the first half, visiting Cardinal Stritch went to a full court press and went on a 14 - 2 run that extended their lead to 17. It wasn't until junior guard Adam Dobrzykowski (South Bend, IN) knocked down a pair of free-throws that stopped the Stritch press. The Wolves managed to take a 40 - 22 halftime lead.

The Wolves stretched their lead to 26 midway through the second half before the Saints put together a 10 - 0 run sparked by a Taylor Williams (South Bend, IN) breakaway dunk. The Saints pulled within 12 at the 3 minute mark, but after a Cardinal Stritch timeout the Wolves held the Saints to just 3 points over the final 3 minutes.

The Saints shot 38% from the field while Stritch shot 44.6%. Taylor Williams recorded his first double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Brad Kendall (Granger, IN) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Leading the Wolves was Kody Braddix with 19.

The Saints fall to 3 - 22 overall and will be back in action on Wednesday, February 10th, in the McKenna Arena against Purdue Calumet. Holy Cross beat Calumet 80 - 73 earlier in the year.
