Saints Squander First Half Lead

(Chicago, IL) Despite leading by 13 at the half the Saints could not hold off the Archers of Moody Bible Tuesday night at the Solheim Center.
The Saints held Moody to 9 - 44 on 20% shooting and just 2 - 11 from behind the arc in the first half. However, the Archers managed six 3-pointers in the second half to overtake the lead late in the game. The Archers (5-9) had three players in double figures. Jacqui Mitchell recorded a double-double for Moody with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Leading the Saints was freshman center Baysia Cox (Niles, MI) with 20 points. Junior guard Tanesha Varnardo (Markham, IL) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds.
The Saints (5-22) will be back in action this Saturday at 5pm in the McKenna Arena in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) match-up with Robert Morris University.
