(Notre Dame, IN) In the final home game of the year, the Holy Cross men's basketball team welcomed the Archers of Moody Bible Institute (IL).
Neither team was able to pull away as the game saw 23 lead changes. The Saints led by as many as 6 midway through the first half, but an 8-0 run stretching over 3 minutes put the Archers up 2. Moody hit their free-throws down the stretch and pulled out a 65 - 58 victory to improve to 9 - 9 on the season. The loss drops the Saints to 3 - 25 overall. The Saints only shot 37% from the field while the Archers shot 48%.
Adam Onderdonk (South Bend, IN) led the Saints with 14 points. Brad Kendall (Granger, IN) chipped in 13. Lou Karlber and Seth McCord each scored 14 for Moody, and Nick Parrish added 13.
The Saints will be back in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) action this Saturday, against the University of St. Francis (IL).
