The Holy Cross college women's basketball team will travel to Bourbonnais, IL to take on the Tigers of Olivet Nazarene in the quarterfinals of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) tournament.
The two teams have met twice this season. Olivet swept the season series beating the Saints 119 to 70 on February 6th, and 133 to 57 on February 23rd. During the first meeting Baysia Cox (Niles, MI) led the Saints with 26 points while Jalisa Edwards (Chicago, IL) pulled down 9 rebounds. In the second meeting Baysia Cox paced the Saints with 22 points and 3 blocks while Tanesha Vanardo (Markham, IL) recorded 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the Saints.
Entering the tournament, Baysia is averaging 14.1 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. The Tigers are led in scoring by Simone Coburn who averages 16 points per game. This will be the Saints first experience in post season play. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 pm (EST) on Tuesday, March 2nd.
