Shannon Signs with Holy Cross
Men's Soccer - Tue, Mar. 2, 2010
(Notre Dame, Ind.) Trevor Shannon of Urbana, Ohio has signed a letter of intent to continue his soccer career with the Saints of Holy Cross College. While attending Holy Cross, Trevor will be working towards a bachelor's degree in history.
The 5'9'' Shannon was a four year member of the Urbana High School soccer program. Playing both striker and midfield, he played his club soccer with Elite F.C. During his senior season with Urbana, Trevor was named team captain and earned Special Mention in the Central Buckeye Conference, Special Mention All - Miami Valley, and Special Mention All - Champaign County.
"It is nice to have a young man with Trevor's accolades," said Head Coach Dustan Harley. "He has been honored as one of the best players in his area and we are looking forward to seeing how he can help up front and in the midfield. I think Trevor will help us accomplish our goals for 2010."
Shannon is the sixth recruit to sign with the Saints this off-season. Holy Cross begins its fourth year in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and second in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) this fall.
