(Bourbonnais, Ill.) Round one of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) tournament pitted the No. 3 seed Olivet Nazarene Tigers against the No. 6 seed Holy Cross.

The Saints jumped out to a 6 - 0 lead and held the high flying Tigers offense scoreless for nearly three minutes, but Olivet quickly answered nailing 5 straight 3-pointers.

Olivet slowly built their lead throughout the first half taking a 70 - 38 lead on 23-for-62 shooting including 48 first half 3-pointers. Much like the first, the Tigers continued to launch the three ball. Olivet eventually won, 134 - 67 and advances to the semifinal to play St. Francis (Ill.) in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament.

The Saints were led by freshman Jacques Donaldson (South Bend, Ind.) with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Baysia Cox (Niles, Mich.) chipped in 15 and Alandrea Nailon (South Bend, Ind.) added 10. Olivet had six players in double figures including Lexi Heinhold with 21 points.

Holy Cross ends their inaugural season at 5 - 26. The Saints will continue to play in the CCAC next year, but will move down to division II. The Saints moved up to division I for one year as Roosevelt University prepares to enter the CCAC.
