(Williamsburg. Ken.) The Holy Cross baseball team opened their 2010 schedule Monday afternoon in a double header at the University of the Cumberlands.
       
Tim Mouton (Houston, Tex.), Jordan Schock (South Bend, Ind.), and Nathan Lasota (Oviedo, Fla.) each collected two hits, but the Saints fell to the Patriots 7 - 4 in game one. Mouton pitched 6 innings striking out 7, walking 1, and gave up 4 earned runs. Schock batted in 3 of the 4 runs for the Saints and Andrew Mysliwiec (Niles, Mich.) knocked in one.
In game two, the Patriots scored the first 5 runs of the game before the Saints were able to put a run on the board. Kevin Gray (South Bend, Ind.) collected 2 of the teams 3 hits. Pat Huyge (Grand Haven, Mich.) struck out 4 and gave up 5 earned runs in 4 innings pitched. Robert Jankowski (South Bend, Ind.) pitched two scoreless innings in relief striking out 2 batters.The Saints fell in game two 6 - 1.
