(Notre Dame, Ind.) Matthew Proano of Clay High School has signed a letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic careers at Holy Cross College next fall.

Proano, a 5'8'' forward, was part of 3 straight sectional titles with the Colonials. During his senior season, he was named most improved athlete in soccer. Proano was also a member of the Clay football program.

"I have known Mathew for more than five years now and actually coached him while he was in 8th grade," said Head Coach Dustan Harley. "I can speak from experience that he is the type of player that will do anything that is asked of him and will take on any roll required.  I am extremely excited to have Mathew as part of this program and continue what we started five years ago."

While attending Holy Cross, Proano will be working towards a bachelor's degree in visual arts. He is the tenth soccer player to commit this off-season.
