Saints Look to Stay Perfect

(Notre Dame, IN) The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team will take to the fields at Holy Cross for the first time in two years Saturday, April 17th, at 1pm. The Saints host rival Loyola University.
Not only will the Saints be playing their first home game in two years, but they will also be going for their first undefeated regular season. Currently at 11 - 0, Holy Cross remains atop the Great Lakes Lacrosse League (GLL) poll according to laxpower.com with a power rating of 76.9.
Last year the Saints split the season series with Loyola. The Saints were handed their only loss of the regular season 7 - 6 in overtime a year ago. Saturday will mark the only meeting between the two teams this year. Holy Cross will bring their high flying offense to the fields this Saturday in hopes to stay perfect. The Saints are averaging 9.7 goals a game including 34 goals in the last three games.
With the South Division clinched, the Saints are poised to make another run at the league championship. "The guys have worked very hard all year long," said Head Coach Mike Hodge. "Winning the South Division was a great step to our ultimate goal of a league championship." Last year the Saints fell to the University of Wisconsin -Red 6 - 4 in the championship game.
