The Holy Cross men's soccer team took on the Grace College Lancers Wednesday evening in Winona Lake, IN.
The first half would prove to be a test for the Saints defense as they surrendered 11 shots. Damian Marciniak would once again play an outstanding game in goal with 9 total saves. The Half ended with 0-0 tie, giving the Saints hope in the second half.
The Lancers were able to convert on two goals by Ryan Gerber in the 64th minute and again in the 66th minute. Justin Evans of Grace assisted both goals. The Saints were able to make a surge as they recorded ten shots in the second half, though the game ended 2-0 Lancers. The loss puts the Saints overall record to 1-5 on the year. The team is feeling very optimistic about this Saturday, when they will host Rochester College at 3:30 p.m.
