The Holy Cross men's soccer team recorded their second win of the year on Saturday as they beat Rochester College 2-1.
The game had a fast and physical pace right from the start. Saints freshman Richie Campos was able to beat goalkeeper Dave Ristich in the 13th minute to take an early 1-0 lead. Sergio DelCampo would get the assist on the play. The Saints would keep the pressure on and would tally another goal when standout striker Romulo Nobrega scored in the 32nd minute to give a 2-0 advantage. Rochester continued to pressure the Saints defense throughout the first half, and eventually got on the board in the 42nd minute off a corner kick. The ball hit the back of a Saints defender.
The second half saw just as much intensity as the first. The game went back and forth, but neither team could capitalize. The game ended in a 2-1 victory for the Saints. The Saints will travel to Moody Bible Institute on September 25th.
