Women's Soccer - Tue, May. 25, 2010
(Plymouth, Ind.) Plymouth senior, Kayla Vanlue, signed a letter of intent to play soccer at Holy Cross College next fall. While at Plymouth, Vanlue played varsity soccer for 4 years with the Lady Rockies.
   
Kayla earned numerous awards while playing for Plymouth. She was named NLC All Conference 2007 and NLC Honorable Mention in 2008. Kayla was named Most Valuable Defensive player in 2007 and 2008. In 2009, she was named Captain of the Lady Rockies and received the Most Valuable Defensive Award, Mental Attitude Award and Most Valuable Player Award.
 
"Kayla is a great addition to our team; she is a smart player that has accomplished a lot during her High School career," said Head Coach Carlos Reynolds. "I have no doubt she will succeed at Holy Cross as a student-athlete; I am looking forward to start working with her."
 
During her senior season Kayla was named Academic All State and NLC All Conference in 2009. Vanlue also participated in varsity track for 3 years. She is the captain of the 2010 team and a member of the sectional championship team. Vanlue's other activities include National Honor Society, Varsity Club, Heart Club, Key Club, French Club, Future Teachers of America, Pep Club, Sunshine Club and a member of 4-H.
