(Notre Dame, Ind.) The Holy Cross athletic department announced that Danny D'Amore has decided to transfer to Holy Cross and join the men's soccer team. D'Amore was a starting defenseman at Ohio Valley University.
The Fighting Scots of Ohio Valley are an NCAA DII school and part of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Hailing from Windsor, Ontario Danny was a five sport athlete at St. Thomas of Villanova High School. He competed in volleyball, cross country, basketball, track & field, and soccer.
While attending St. Thomas he was first team All-City in 2004 and 2005, captain of the soccer team his senior year, and earned the coaches award in 2004 and 2005.
"Danny is a strong left back that knows the game and plays it the right way," said Coach Harley. "He plays well with the ball at his feet and is a very composed player. We are very excited about Danny and are looking for him to come in and make an immediate impact on our programs level of play."
The 5'10'' left back is the son of John and Becky D'Amore. While attending Holy Cross Danny will be working towards a bachelor's degree in psychology.
