The Holy Cross men's soccer team traveled to Chicago Thursday afternoon to take on Moody Bible Institute. The Saints (2-5) were looking to take advantage of a weaker Moody Bible team (1-4-1).
The Saints had a tough time in the first half as T.J. Price of Moody recorded the first goal in the 11th minute. Six minutes later, Young Jen Kim added another Moody goal to give them a 2-0 advantage. The Saints would quickly turn around and score in the 26th minute, and then again in the 55th minute to tie the game. Romulo Nobrega would record his fourth and fifth goals of the season.
In the 68th minute, the Saints took the lead on an own goal by Moody, Sergio DelCampo receiving an assist on the play. "We have been able to build our attack much more efficiently in the last five games," says Head Coach Thiago Pinto. "Our team chemistry on and off the field continues to make the difference for us". The Saints look to continue their success this evening as they scrimmage Robert Morris College.
