(Kendallville, IN) The Holy Cross men's golf team took to the links for the first time this season with a second place finish at the USF Cougar Invitational.
The Saints were led by junior transfer Eric Hartstein (South Bend, Ind.) in the two day event. Hartstein shot a 4 over 147 placing him 5th overall for the tournament, 3 shots behind leader Marcus Brussee of Cornerstone University.
Sophomore transfer Mike Prior and senior Tyler Alge (Huron, Ohio) each shot a 6 over 149 placing them in 9th place overall. Freshman Matthew Code (Ontario, Canada) rounded out the Saints scoring with a 155 overall.
The Saints finished with a team score of 600 placing them 4 strokes behind Cornerstone University. The Saints return to action September 14th, at the University of St. Francis (IL).
