(South Bend, Ind.) The Holy Cross men's soccer team opened up their home schedule Saturday night at the Indiana Invaders complex. The Saints played host to the Crusaders of Madonna University.
An early goal in the 15th minute gave Madonna all the offense they needed to propel them past the Saints. Mustaph Olorunnimbe of Madonna put in a rebound shot off Saints goalkeeper Damian Marciniak (Michigan City, Ind.) from inside the six yard box. Marciniak ended the night with six saves.
The Saints took 8 shots on goal compared to Madonna's 9. The men will be back in action September 8th, at Rochester College (Mich.). They return home Saturday, September 11th, at 6pm to host Marian University. The game will be played at the Invaders complex.
