Alge Sets School Record at USF Invite

Senior Golfer Tyler Alge
(Joliet, Ill.) After a second place finish at the USF Cougar Invitational the Saints were back in action at the St. Francis Fall Classic. The Saints continued to roll placing 2nd out of 25 teams.
As a team the Saints shot a 293 on the par 72 course putting them 5 over par on the day. Holy Cross tied with Carthage College for second place. North Park University took home top honors shooting a team score 292.
Tyler Alge (Huron, Ohio.) led the Saints and set a new school record shooting three under par 69 in the one day event. Alge finished second overall in the individual field after a scorecard playoff with North Park University golfer Martin Carlsson. Alge played consistent throughout the day shooting a 34 on the front nine and 35 on the back nine.
Sophomore Mike Prior (Schoolcraft, Mich.) shot well for the Saints placing seventh overall and shooting an even 72. Rounding out the Saints was Eric Hartstein (South Bend, Ind.) with a 75, Mathew Code (Ontario, Canada) 77, and Tyler Kanczuzewski (South Bend, Ind.) shooting a 78.
The Saints continue their fall schedule this weekend on Friday and Saturday at the Bethel College Invitational. The Saints tee-off at 12:30pm at Blackthorn Golf Course in South Bend, Ind.
