(South Bend, Ind.) Despite a cold and blustery evening in South Bend the Saints were feeling good after a 1 - 0 victory over the visiting Foresters of Huntington University.

The lone goal of the match came with just 20 seconds remaining in the first half. Junior midfielder Robert Campos (Elkhart, Ind.) beat Forester goalkeeper Chris Fox on the near post from 18 yards out. Senior Oswaldo Garcia-Garrido (Elkhart, Ind.) recorded the assist on the play.

Huntington did not go down without a fight and nearly tied the game just minutes into the second half, but an offsides call took back a goal. The Saints outshot Huntington 22 - 8 and led in corner kicks 8 - 2.

Saints goalkeeper Damian Marciniak (Michigan City, Ind.) recorded his first shutout of the season. In 90 minutes of action Marciniak had 2 saves. Chris Fox and Drew Mattingly split the duties in goal for the Foresters. They had a combined 6 saves between the two.

"Last night was much like our other games this year," said Head Coach Dustan Harley. "We played very well and possessed the ball for much of  the ninety minutes.  However, we defended as a team last night which secured the win.  I think this team is starting to come together and we are building momentum going into conference play."

The Saints improve to 2-3-1 on the year and travel to Marygrove University on Monday before entering their first Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) game against Trinity International University. Holy Cross is 2 -1 - 1 in their last four games.
