(Sturgis, Mich.) Led by Eric Hartstein (South Bend, Ind.) the Holy Cross Men's Golf team captured their first tournament title in school history.
The Saints shot a 300-289=589 to win the New Balance Invitational at Klinger Lake CC in Sturgis, Mich. Hartstein, who won the Bethel Invitational this past weekend, fired a 72 - 72 = 144 to claim his second straight tournament.
Holy Cross swept the individual places as Matthew Code (Ontario, Canada) finished second shooting a 148, 75 - 73. Andrew Thomas (South Bend, Ind.) and Mike Prior (Schoolcraft, Mich.)tied for third with a 150, each shooting 78 - 72. Senior Tyler Alge (Huron, Ohio.) rounded out the Saints with a 154, 76 - 78 for 8th.
The Saints will be back in action next Wednesday, September 29th, at the University of St. Francis (Ill.).
