(South Bend, Ind.) Outshot 38 - 2, the Holy Cross women's soccer team found it difficult to produce much offense Wednesday evening at the Indiana Invaders complex.
Another great crowd showed up to cheer for the Saints on a sunny and beautiful fall day in South Bend. However, the Saints were shut-out for the second straight game in Chicagoland Collegiate Atheltic Conference (CCAC) play.
The University of St. Francis (4-4-1) received two goals from forwards Erin Voss and Natalia Naumoff to take a 4 - 0 lead midway through the second half. Ashley Sikyta and Brittany McDaniel netted two late goals for St. Francis as they cruised to their fourth win of the year.
Jessica Heston (Plymouth, Ind.) returned to goal after missing one game due to a concussion. Heston recorded 14 saves on the night in 90 minutes of action.
Holy Cross (1-9) will return to action on October 5th, at the Indiana Invaders complex to host Olivet Nazarene University in a CCAC match-up. Kickoff is scheduled for 4pm.
