(South Bend, Ind.) Presley Kerber's three goals for visiting Cardinal Stritch University gave the Wolves more than enough offense as they rolled to a 4 - 0 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) victory Tuesday night at the Invaders complex.
The Saints struggled to find the back of the net despite creating good opportunities throughout the game. However, it was the Wolves that dominated outshooting the Saints 33 - 8. Holy Cross continues to struggle on offense as they were shutout for the fifth straight game.
The Saints continue to be plagued by injuries this season. Freshman defender Alaina McCraner (Middlebury, Ind.) was forced to sit out the game after receiving a concussion last Saturday at St. Xavier University.
Jessica Heston (Plymouth, Ind.) made 8 saves in 90 minutes of action for the Saints. Holy Cross falls to 1 -12 on the year and 0 - 5 in the CCAC.
The Saints will be back in action Saturday, October 16th, against CCAC opponent Trinity Christian College. The Trolls are currently 10 - 1 - 1 on the year and rank 16th in the nation according to the latest National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) women's soccer poll.
