CCAC Woe's Continue For Women' Soccer

(South Bend, Ind.) The women's soccer team hosted Judson University Saturday afternoon at the Indiana Invaders complex in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference match-up. The Saints conference woe's continued as the Eagles posted 8 goals.
Two early first half goals put the Saints in a tough spot as Bruna Dos Santos and Lauren Opolony each scored for the visiting Eagles in the fourth minute. The two goals were seperated by 13 seconds. The Saints were able to hold off the Eagles pressure, but a 21st minute goal gave Judson a 3 goal lead entering half.
The Eagles didn't let up in the second half scoring 5 times including 3 goals within a 4 minute span. Opolony added two more goals in the half to lead Judson with three goals and an 8 - 0 conference win. Saints goalkeeper Jessica Heston (Plymouth, Ind.) finished the day with 11 saves in 90 minutes of action.
Holy Cross falls to 1 - 15 on the year and 0 - 9 in the CCAC. The Saints will travel to Illinois Tech before returning home next Saturday for their final game of the year when they host #11 Robert Morris at the Invaders complex. Kickoff is scheduled for 4pm.
