(Notre Dame, Ind.) The Saints earned their first victory of the season Saturday night at the Pfeil Center against the Maple Leafs of Goshen College in a non-conference match-up.
             
Led by sophomore transfer Lauren Malinowski (Dearborn Heights, Mich.) the Saints overcame a 7 point second half deficit to even their record at 1 - 1. Malinowski finished the night with 23 points, 5 assists, and 4 steals.
 
Leading by as many as 13 points, Goshen was unable to hold off the Saints. Once again the Saints put forth a terriffic effort on defense forcing 28 turnovers and recording 16 steals.
 
Lindsey Steffen (Goshen, Ind.) finished the night with 11 points and 11 rebounds to record her first collegiate double-double. Despite only shooting 36.5% from the field, the Saints knocked down 12 three pointers.
 
The Saints will return to action Wednesday, November 3rd, against Cornerstone University. This will be the first meeting between the two teams. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm. Holy Cross will return home this Saturday at 6pm to host Concordia University at 1pm.
