(Ft. Wayne, Ind.) The Saints traveled to Indiana Tech to participate in the SportONE ShootOut. The Saints battled Taylor University and Indiana Tech on Friday and Saturday.
      
Led by Allison Reece and Becca Morris the Trojans of Taylor University beat the Saints 75 - 63 on a nuetral floor. Freshman Lindsey Steffen (Nappanee, Ind.) led the Saints with a double - double scoring 18 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Trailing 47 - 29 the Saints could not overcome the 18 point first half deficit.
 
The Saints could not capatilize on 24 Trojan turnovers, shooting just 35% from field. Megan Eve (Scottsburg, Ind.) added 13 for the Saints. Taylor's Allison Reece led all scorers with 20 points.
   
On Saturday, the Saints played host Indiana Tech. This time it was Lauren Malinowski (Dearborn Heights, Mich.) leading the Saints and all scorers with 22 points and 7 assists.
 
After a back and forth first half the Warriors held onto a 2 point halftime lead. However, they quickly jumped out to a 9 point lead with a 7 - 0 run to start the second half. They Saints closed to as many at 1 point, but were unable to regain the lead and the Warriors took the game 79 - 75.
 
Lindsey Steffen added 16 points and Megan Eve chipped in 12, but the Saints fall to 1 - 5 on the year and will face NAIA DI opponent Robert Morris University on November 16th.
