(Upland, Ind.) Holy Cross welcomed Davenport University to the Pfeil Center for a non-conference match-up against.
Trailing by 7 with 7:42 remaining in the first half the Saints could not keep it close as the Panthers went on a 19 - 2 run and built a 23 point lead heading into half. Davenport built upon that lead in the second half and eventually knocked off the Saints 82 - 51 to stay a perfect 9 - 0 on the year. The loss puts Holy Cross at 0 - 10 on the season.
Davenport had six players in double digit points. Nathan Cox led the Panthers with 15 points and JaVonte Ford chipped in 13. Davenport shot nearly 47% from the field on 30-of-64 shots.
Taylor Williams (South Bend, Ind.) had a team and game high 16 points for the Saints and pulled down 8 rebounds while Justin Breveard (South Bend, Ind.) added 12 points. The Saints shooting woes continued as they went 19-of-57 from the field and just 3-of-9 from behind the arc.
The Saints will look for their first win of the season against Trinity Christian College on Wednesday, December 1st. This will be the first conference game of the year for the Saints. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30pm inside the Pfeil Center.
