(Hammond, Ind.) In an important Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) match-up between the Saints and Peregrines of Purdue Calumet the Peregrines came out with a strong defensive effort holding the Saints to just one field goal in nearly 12 minutes of action.

Holy Cross struggled to find an answer for Andrew Anderson of Calumet. Anderson finished the night with 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting on the field and dishing out 5 assists.

Adam Dobrzykowski (South Bend, Ind.) hit the first field goal for the Saints at the 17:40 mark, however it wasn't until the 8:37 mark when Nicholas Gold (San Clemente, Calif.) ended the streak with a lay-up.

At that point the Pergrines had already built up a 14 point lead as they cruised past the Saints 80-60 for their fourth CCAC victory. The loss drops the Saints to the seventh spot in the CCAC standings.

The Pergrines shot 50% from the field and outrebounded Holy Cross 49-26. As a team the Saints shot 39% from the field and only 25% from behind the arc on 5-of-20 shooting.

Taylor Williams led Holy Cross recording a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Zac Cook (South Bend, Ind.) added 14 points in the loss.

The Saints will be back in action Tuesday night to take on Olivet Nazarene University (CCAC DI). Tip-of is scheduled for 8:30pm (EST).
